Best Of 3!

Just out of interest how is everyone finding the best of 3? Is it failing miserabely like s-dawg predicted? Is it working well and were glad we proceeded with it? Anyone still wish it was Bo1??

Maybe excluding very few clans who seem to have some issues with time or playing on either multiple days or for too long, I'm confident that most clans are happy with bo3 as it is the more fair option, not to mention offers an excellent tiebreaker result as well as being more fun and social

BO3 is great but it really should be stressed that if teams don't have enough time they should play BO1 instead of making an issue of it.

I agree with this and the reasoning, it's just that the current tie breaker system announced several rounds ago would mean any teams playing Bo1 would be pretty significantly disadvatnaged regarding making play offs. I dunno next ssdl, if there is one, we can review the system and change to suit.

why is playing Bo3 disavantageous for playoffs, compared to bo1 (being better).

Sorry typo. I mean as in since at the moment the system has this order of priority:

1st: Total overall wins
2nd: Total wins - total losses (winning 2-1 for one overall game = 2 wins and one loss for this 2nd priority).

If you only play Bo1 for any reason there isn't really a fair way to compromise, unless both teams agree for the winner to have the result of 2-0, I suppose.

Well you ok I think it's fine then. But I think it's also fair to say that both teams have to want to do it or a clan that is worse then one, but wins around 1 game in 3 against the better clan will be disadvantaged for tiebreaker since they are likely to lose the first game, but -possibly- win one if they played bo3 instead..
So again it's allowed if both teams agree, if one team wishes to play bo3, but one team can't, the team wishing to play bo3/not wanting to play bo1 has the right to disagree/not play bo1.
